(4:46) Hello from the UK. Got my first ATEM this week so will be interested on what I can do with it

(6:03) we did an outdoor service today and had to go to plan b because my Insta360link would not recognize 😭

(6:16) Phone connected to Yolobox

(6:19) It's a Yolobox mini plugged into an ATEM Mini Pro plugged into a phone for internet.

(8:04) wifi holds up at the moment

(8:35) wrote it and it cut out...

(8:43) This HAS got to be the least amount of gear you carried for a remote stream.

(9:42) Now we have to place bets on 1.) When OBS will have issues 2.) How long OBS will have issues. With any luk no issues.

(10:16) Q: How are you interfacing the mic to the macbook?

(11:21) Built-in Mic is more than adequate, more treble for sure.

(11:32) Louder, deeper, but there's something slightly annoying about it.

(11:57) is it the built in mic of iPhone or MacBook?

(12:24) Any a/v sync issues? Did you have to compensate in OBS?

(14:11) oh the double audio you can hear... its about 1 frame 1/30th different

(14:25) The DJI sounds a bit muffly / Canny .. MacBook sounds better ..

(15:55) I like the macbook, better range

(16:17) Without the comparison, both sound good. They're different tonaly and the macbook picks up more room reverb. I wouldn't say either is better.

(22:47) The overhead is a geometric transform from the built-in webcam on the Mac?

(23:51) Q: How much CPU is being utilized on the Macbook? You are using an M2 Air, right?

(26:18) 10% cpu? Sweet. MBA with M2, that sounds like my next Switcher 🤔

(26:34) Q Not an issue so don't change anything, the macbook audio picks up all the touchpad clicks. I wonder if the DJI does too or to a lesser degree.

(26:51) recording uses the same encoder as the stream. it will not use extra cpu unless you set it to encode differentlty

(27:11) Q: Are you streaming in 720 to save bandwidth or CPU?

(28:33) Q: Are you using Shoot on the Iphone or is it the Apple Camera app?

(29:15) Not too bad though. I've got the video taking up about 80% of a 4k monitor.

(29:19) Let me just say 720P may be minimum viable stream, but it looks great on my 30" TV right now. Don't worry. It works!

(29:25) In OBS, are you using x264 or the apple h264 encorder?

(30:23) If you didn't change, then the default is probably x264 (it is on windows).

(30:38) iPhone camera appears as if it is livestreaming in 4K on my 85" TV

(30:59) 720p looks really good .. I don't think 1080p make a big difference

(31:12) If you switch it to apple, you will use almost no cpu at all

(35:16) And it auto-switched to 1080. YT usually doesn't go up automatically.

(35:29) Youtube used to not allow resolution and bitrate changes. Now they do with variable bitrate/resolution.

(36:27) Q: Obviously that would break if you had auto-start and auto-stop turned on

(37:10) I was able to scroll back if I refreshed window

(37:16) After the stream is done, after a few hours post processing, it will become available.

(37:22) I've got a second window open and can see the first half of the stream - complete with 1080p in the options

(37:32) update from the train: going 295 kph and mobile data is stable

(37:39) now switch to vertical

(38:19) I don't understand when streamers don't use scheduled streams. It some hiccup occurs with the stream now, sometimes you can end of with two seperate streams instead of one continuous VOD.

(42:46) I've seen streamers before use clunky streaming backpacks and this iPhone setup looks way better.

(43:46) The MacBook Cam isn't that sharp than the iPhone Cam ..

(43:54) for constant use of the webcam I would suggest propping the MacBook up so the cam is at a better angle

(44:53) 100/100 on WiFi is definitely not something you would get at a random location.

(44:58) And the yolobox has magic network abilities haha

(46:34) Woah. Audio was slightly better when you picked it up. Might be your voice bouncing off the desk adding that tone I hear.

(46:43) I’ve never seen my iPads pop up as cameras like I have with my phone…

(51:25) For the few of you that may not know: A battery bank in a power outage will last longer keeping your phone at full instead of charging it up multiple times.

(52:36) Q: In some cases with volunteers they forget to stop the stream, so I have used auto-stop in those cases

(1:00:38) Audio mixer only shows what’s in your Program, not Preview

(1:01:10) It’s confusing but that’s how it works lol

(1:01:27) You have to uncheck view inactive sources in the advanced mixer if you want to adjust in Preview

(1:01:59) It's probably the mic setting at the macOS level?

(1:03:05) It doesn’t change the Audio Mixer, but you can still adjust in the Advanced mixer. Not intuitive, I know

(1:04:09) Q: The combination of the general purpose computer settings (i.e. MacOS) plus the OBS settings make trouble-shooting so much more complex than dedicated devices like ATEM or Yolobox

(1:04:47) Quick Question - Can all mirrorless cameras be used with a switcher like the Atem Mini? Looking at the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10 in specific because I need a camera <$200 USD to stream with. Thanks!

(1:07:22) I would say iPhone is less processed. MacBook mic must have a filter removing the reverb of the room

(1:07:53) Atem mini hdmi input one can cause problems…. Low latency and not all cameras like input port one.

(1:10:59) Did I notice in audio settings in obs, the lap top mic doesn’t have the hi pass filter on ?

(1:11:17) Or a box to put the laptop on. It sounded better when you picked it up. No resonance from the table.

(1:11:56) Q: I think there may be quite a difference on the DJI with an external mic versus the built-in capsule mic

(1:12:07) Put the DJI-Mic deeper on your shirt and it will work better.

(1:12:19) I once found that a volunteer hadn't stopped the stream in the ATEM - there was 5 hours of a holding slide and no audio

(1:14:16) Probably can't fly over people if they are wearing crowns

(1:15:24) 50% better sitting on the battery. Get something 4x thicker would likely do the trick.

(1:15:58) Seeing how OBS is performing on the MBA, well worthy sacrificing the YoloLiv for the drone.

(1:16:07) well, in EU (not know in the UK) you need licence, insurance and check in the app if you are in a restricted/forbidden zone

(1:16:29) i heard a lot of drones suffer from hydrofopia. Thats could be the reason

(1:16:49) Q Noticed that for a long time you've referred 1-1 consulting requests to others, but now you offer? How's it going?

(1:17:25) The stand I have has hollow pipes (not sure how better to describe) and I think that’s what they don’t like.

(1:17:34) Lavs work better a bit lower, away from the chin shadow

(1:18:46) I prefer the sound of the dji because the builtin mic picks up handling noise. better a little muffled sound to the handling distraction
