Questions

Jonathan Palmer
(7:31) Great video on the Tula. Thanks for all the streams I get to see one actually live today!! Almost 27K!! wow WTG Q. - When you use the Pi for companion control what screen/interface do you use?

John Muntz
(11:39)

BB
(12:06) Joining from "The Frozen Tundra" of Wisconsin

MR CHYMPABLO
(12:10) hi from Nigeria

Michael Huber
(12:22) Oh YouTube killed the sound :)

Jonathan Palmer
(12:37) Q - - [ ] Have you noticed there is a discrepancy between ATEM Software control version 8.6.4 and the ATEM itself as 8.6.1? Why is that?

Chris Lai
(13:42) Q: is it cold this morning? You are wearing a sweat.

IT Never Gets Old
(14:08) Q: Any thoughts about a low cost SRT encoder for remote submissions

Hisham Zireeni
(15:22) Q: What is your experience with NDI with ATEM? Any feedback and comments about NDI ?

AK Productions
(16:50) @Hisham Zireeni @Aaron Parecki Either a external boxes, or VMIX PCs

Volleykanalen
(17:26) Q: On the Behringer, is it possible to assign different audio delays to different aux buses from the same input/microphone?

John McLauchlan
(20:46) Audio is tricky

Christian Olivier
(21:04) Q: Any news on your membership system? I am curious on how you will implement it… ;-)

Roland Dobbins
(23:25) @Aaron Parecki — don’t feel bad, I have to sit and figure out the non-obvious paradigm of the user-hostile Midas/Behringer software every time.

Geert M
(23:33) @Aaron Parecki : i think you can put the same input with different fx on 2 different busses.

Graham Rule
(24:53) @Aaron Parecki if you get someone to train you on how to do audio then that would make a great live stream for us to watch over your shoulder

WutrUduin?
(25:00) @Aaron Parecki try patching mic 1 jack into two different channels

Geert M
(26:36) @aaron: in/out riht top

Chris Lai
(30:11) We have just watched the almost forgotten "Try and Error with @Aaron Parecki"

Tech Condo
(30:19) Seriously Eric. That being said I own the X32, even more confusing ;)

Eric Likness
(30:23) I think Aaron could do a 90 minute show each week for a year on the XAir interface alone. Just so many buttons, pop-ups, routing, etc.

Tech Condo
(30:47) I need to take the red pill and follow the rabbit with all the matrix’s these days

Volleykanalen
(31:14) @Aaron Parecki That's awesome! Thanks!

Michael Flotron
(31:21) Just bought an X32 last night and now I'm a little scared haha

AK Productions
(31:40) Q: Aaron, you had done some research on the NDI to HDMI? What was the cheapest you could recommend? If we need to buy like 4-6... 😀

MT Steuerung
(34:16) birddog play .. should be out in December but hasn't arrived jet ..

AK Productions
(34:28) Yeah that interface is why I haven't used our XAir12 on a production after like 7months 😀

C.J. Robbemond
(34:37) @Michael Flotron I just googled the X-32 vs. MR-18 and the X-32 does seem to have output delay on the 6 XLR buses

C.J. Robbemond
(35:21) I'm actually surprised the MR-18 has no delay function on the inputs and/or outputs. That's a pretty common feature on digital mixers. It's all over the Presonus Studiolive Series III mixers I use.

Chris Lai
(35:36) @Aaron Parecki for my church's reconstruction, a contractor recommended something from BirdDog, and I said, "when will I get it?" and laughed.

gary giscombe
(35:53) Q. Is possible to use two streaming bridge between two atem Mini pro/iso

Jamie Whitehorn
(36:57) Q: are you using the new Tula mic in this stream?

AK Productions
(38:48) So much more base and volume 😀

Eric Likness
(40:07) Definitely voice forward/present versus the overhead. Less room tone.

Christian Olivier
(40:27) Q: There is no way I would use a 32… like in « no way I will need more that 20x20 matrix »?

Graham Rule
(40:45) Q have you used the keypad shortcuts in the Companion emulator?

Charbax
(41:41) Q: there still are conferences to do?

Michael Huber
(42:23) Q: what timer did you use for the countdown?

DigiFusion Media
(44:41) Q: what's your thought about vMix Beta v25

Go Web Technologies
(44:50) Q : What is the use case for companion satellite?

AK Productions
(46:43) Q: The USB cable you have for the Streamdeck, is it with external power or just "active" cable

Jamaican_Gaming Official
(47:11) how to add lower thirds from a browser...? and what site that would be?

Clifford Bradbury
(48:40) Q: I guess the downside of the desktop mic, now is we can hear the key presses on the keyboard ala laptop webcam style 😁

C.J. Robbemond
(52:09) The mic could do with a 100-150Hz HPF

Melissa DuPuy
(52:39) Q: I’d really like to use an iPad as a monitor on the ATEM but not entirely certain it’s possible without additional hardware, min which case

Austin Theen
(54:50) Q: What could cause an ATEM Extreme to stop an ISO recording but still show recording? Would changing an HDMI input like a disconnection?

Center Of Praise Ministries
(56:04) What is the name of the video distribution design web tool you use?

Charbax
(58:11) Q: will you upgrade your GH5mark2 for the Gh6 even if it doesn't have phase detect AF? (I might upgrade my G9, but I really wish it had PDAF..)

BB
(58:49) Q: Can multiple ATEM Mini 's (standard model or ATEM Pro version) be connected in order to enable more than 4 HDMI inputs?

Carl Wikman
(1:00:01) Q: could you explain the ATEM limitation for 5 network connections? Thanks

Jamaican_Gaming Official
(1:04:20) how u get your screen like that in obs ...with u in the box?

John McLauchlan
(1:06:26) Q. are you going to NAB in Vegas

Chris Lai
(1:06:59) @Aaron Parecki I took a look at that mic.....it is about $224 in the US (or something like that), it is on sale for over $400 on Amazon.ca

Darin Land
(1:07:27) Q: What desktop stand did you use for the Tula? Looks good.

Laurian Gridinoc
(1:08:07) @Aaron Parecki what is that audio level meter in the corner of your room?

jimboco2006
(1:08:34) Q: With Hollyland, you can also use your phone as a monitor.

Chris Lai
(1:08:46) @Aaron Parecki how about a computer as "HDMI" source, use NDI to "stream" to iPad with iPad running a NDI viewer app?

MT Steuerung
(1:09:36) @Aaron Parecki .. nice placement .. now you exactly where your corner is .. always good to know ..

SpotsYa
(1:09:47) Q: good morning Aaron, my name is Alberto, I bought the PK1 PRO VIDEO, Q: WHAT ACCESSORIES I NEED TO GET like to hold hard drive, monitor etc. ,can you display links. Thank you. gracias

Felix S
(1:12:11) Q: I unfortunately experience performance issues with H2R gear with larger plans (Atem 2 ME and 20x20 Videohub with lots of connection). Any tips on that?

Mike Ryan
(1:12:48) Q: @Aaron Parecki why do I get bad video on my ATEM nearly every time power up the Lumix G7. (Un/Re-plugging the HDMI always fixes it.)

Mike Ryan
(1:13:36) @Aaron Parecki yes, you described it exactly!

Jesse Hernandez
(1:14:26) Just hopped on, how did you set up your audio output light in the corner there?

Plumbers Local 130
(1:14:55) Q: Can you connect an external midi controller to control the fair light audio panel?

Plumbers Local 130
(1:15:59) Q: @Aaron Parecki Do you prefer your LUMIX over Blackmagic cameras for live streaming? I find my Sonys to be sharper than my 6k for streaming.

MR CHYMPABLO
(1:17:32) Q: Any suggestion on where to get Roland v-8hd tutorials? because it seems they don't have enough on it

Plumbers Local 130
(1:18:07) @ Aaron Parecki I set the sharpening detail to max. The image is still softer than other cameras I’ve used

Ryiadh Al-Areibi
(1:18:29) @Aaron Parecki What is the best soulations For reciveing feed with High quality Without Requiring to port forwarding or Any network configuration

Matt Collins
(1:20:05) On the Atem Mini Extreme, can you send different audio to the different hdmi outputs? or mute one output?

#Indio243
(1:21:43) first, the sharpening is only for prores

#Indio243
(1:21:49) seconds aBMD cinema camera has no oversharpeing in camera

Ruangsilpa Mongkolkasem
(1:21:53) @Aaron Parecki .. BMPCC produces more cinematic look than any other cameras even though the image is not as sharp.

Nickel N
(1:22:25) Hi there. Using a Sony a5100, so no audio input. What would you recommend for taking audio from a Scarlett solo to an Atem mini?

RocksAnne Merlins Fantasy Farm
(1:23:47) @Aaron Parecki : scarlett solo works perfect with Atem mini (remember setting to line level in Audio settings

Felix S
(1:24:02) Q: If Blackmagic releases a reasonable priced new rack mounted switcher with Atem Mini Extreme features, SDI, maybe 2 MEs, would you be tempted to switch?

Dave Garoutte
(1:24:33) And add some delay

Graham Rule
(1:25:21) @Matt Collins I think the lack of audio routing in the ATEM is one of the reasons Aaron got his audio mixer - it is certainly why I had to upgrade the one we have at work and buy one for use at home.

Michael Griffith
(1:26:27) @Aaron Parecki Would you bring audio into a camera to resolve sync issues rather than delay in ATEM?

James Kreul
(1:27:13) Q: I use RPi / nginx server (following your guides) to stream to Facebook and YouTube. Facebook looks fine, but image tears on YouTube. What setting should I check?

WutrUduin?
(1:28:52) @Michael Griffith @Aaron Parecki Over long periods of time, the audio or video can change timing. Putting it in the camera makes it glitch proof.

AK Productions
(1:33:16) @Aaron Parecki Wrong, there is actually technical drifting on these devices. I was doing Robocam work for a reality TV show, and we had wrong specced system (director wanted all 20cams rec'd) 1/2

AK Productions
(1:33:26) @Aaron Parecki 2/2 but the technical producer didn't allow us to use my extreme because ti deos not take in timecode sync signal of some sort from the audio department, because of this drift

Dave Garoutte
(1:33:54) The delay on the camera is because it takes a couple of frames to process the image.

WutrUduin?
(1:34:20) @Aaron Parecki I was talking more of the sources drifting. I've never experienced it, but some ppl have asked about it in much earlier streams.

Nathan Backous
(1:34:38) Is the USB audio/video drift issue more of an ATEM problem or the host computer problem (or a combination of the two). I could see a computer getting overwhelmed by a real time HD a/v input over time.

Wizpo
(1:35:17) so zoom settings or more computer memory to fix the drift?

enregistreur
(1:36:17) USB audio drift is heavily influenced by the CPU interrupts, that happen a lot if CPU load is high

Bob
(1:36:43) Q Just added a SSD to record our service but is there a way to use a usb-c hub so to have a way to use the BMD control software?

George
(1:37:38) Q: can you send mixed sound from your xr18 mixer to the mic input of your G7 ?

Graham Rule
(1:37:53) @Aaron Parecki I have a 10m USB cable between the ATEM and the Zoom PC. Probably going to move the PC and get a KVM but Companion also runs on the PC so might need long USB for that.

Michael Griffith
(1:38:17) @Aaron Parecki How do you route slides to in house projector while having SSRC going to stream?

SCP Media
(1:40:31) Q: For a long USB run for the stream deck, is there a way to convert to Ethernet and then back again?

MT Steuerung
(1:41:34) USB 2.0 is rated for 5 mtr, USB 3.0 only for 3 mtr .. USB-C for 5 mtr .. you can get 10,20, 30 mtr USB-C .. it's optical

Graham Rule
(1:41:52) Thanks for all the info - and a great way to spend a Sunday evening.

Michael Griffith
(1:43:48) @Aaron Parecki Site to order your cages?

Eric Likness
(1:44:07) I like the 2-handles!

Chris Lai
(1:44:11) I am more excited in seeing you actually streaming using that.
