(18:22) @Aaron Parecki turn off/delete "render cache" to force Davinci Resolve to re-render. I had to do this recently.

(18:39) @Aaron Parecki - Yes, there were definitely some bugs in those earlier releases of Resolve 17. Starting with version 17.3, it became a lot more stable for me again.

(27:55) @Aaron Parecki Curious: Atem Switcher updates do not seem to update the firmware of the AME every time. The AME firmware number does not advance the same as the software version. Is that normal ?

(52:46) I use the m1 base air as my main computer. I 100% agree. It does everything I need even with basic 4k edits.

(52:59) Editing direct off external hard drive, is brilliant. Been a long time coming before Computer, edit software could do that adequately.

(1:17:12) @Aaron Parecki I think jacks over XLR. Anyone needing to connect to a mixer should be able to adapt, but for conference, classroom etc., jacks are easy to understand for the novice...

(1:24:16) Having balanced XLR (mono) and an unbalanced 1/8" mini output option would cover integrating into most house sound systems in ballroom/conference room environments.

(1:24:32) Q: You could forgo the computer's HDMI in and have a built in USB-HDMI adapter since many laptops use those anyway for lack of ports. Then you only need 2 HDMI for cameras.

(1:36:02) I would say about $300-$400, around same price or slightly more than basic ATEM Mini, but slightly cheaper than ATEM Mini Pro.
