Eric Likness
(10:56) Companion 3 upgrade + integration testing live on air. 🤔I'm up for it

MT Steuerung
(11:21) actual stable release is 3.1.1

Clear Life Media
(11:29) There was a news studio in Nebraska that was completely automated. The cameras and every shot was done by pushing a space bar. Triggers for the videos graphics. Everything. It was insane

WutrUduin?
(12:02) Run companion 2.x on the mac temporarily in case things go sideways.

Delmixedit
(12:27) Yes doing it love would be fun

IT Never Gets Old

(13:27) Q: I m really late. did I miss your email - reminder ?

(19:00) Q - the Lav Mic is a test object? or is it actually live?

Eric Likness
(25:42) I wonder how many human minutes/seconds are spent each year searching for the right module in Companion each year worldwide? 😸

Michael Flotron
(25:47) @Eric you mean days/weeks 😂

Jens Willmroth
(25:49) Lav Mic needs a lot of EQ

Jens Willmroth
(25:58) Fun Fact: The Companion ATEM module is built around libraries that have been developed for a studio automation system called Sofie for Nowegain public broadcaster NRK.

Hans Winzell
(26:51) Q: Have you tried vMix 27 and the new zoom integration?

IT Never Gets Old
(27:56) Just use a fresh card on the PI and download the full image from the companion website that way you have a complete backup

MT Steuerung
(28:21) Q - but you have to compare that the 2.x version export is compatible with the 3.x release or vice versa

El Gusto de las 12
(28:33) Hello! Aaron, I have podcast studio using 7 Mics, I want to use Rode caster Pro 2, what's the best recommendation to connect toghether the two of together

Delmixedit
(30:14) Don’t do that! Mics need their own channels

DAVINCHE
(30:31) rcp2 only has 4 mic inputs

Reedith Graham
(30:49) I would not use to Road caster pro twos that’s just not with her intended for instead get something like a task cam model 12 it would do you much better

Reedith Graham
(32:38) Appreciate your channel. It really helped get my live stream business off the ground.

Reedith Graham
(33:00) What’s your opinion on the black magic design and coding issue with their products with cash getting stuck I had to buy a live u recently, because a BMD 4K stopped working on me

Camille Baksteen
(35:08) Q: Dante is often used for audio. Dante AV (Audio and Video) is less common. What is the reason for this?

Bill Mew
(35:44) Q: Has anyone had a play with the NEW Magwell Director Mini? I have one and it is great with good web UI and apps - but struugling to get SRT OUT to work

Jens Willmroth
(36:32) Q: Have you tried SRT streaming from the Web Presenter? SRT is designed to be more reliable (R stands for Reliable).

IT Never Gets Old
(38:30) Probably can't do the Companion Update and the Magewell demo in the same show... unless you going to go LONG like the old days

MT Steuerung
(38:54) @Aaron Parecki ..Sounds like a Steampunk build

Sven Lakemeier
(39:02) He talks about bad network connection and it starts buffering over here. Seems my provider listens in ;)

DAVINCHE
(39:16) Maybe the guy wants the audio processing from rcp2 but for 7 mics

Michael Flotron
(39:25) Biggest hurdle I see is monitoring too. Not really possible the way it was intended

Michael Flotron
(39:37) Especially mix minuses

Reedith Graham
(39:40) With a bigger mixer, you might be missing out on some of the knee features like compressing and limiting, but I would recommend getting a hardware compressor/limiter to go in the chain. Anyway

Noel Del Pilar
(39:56) Finally, I am here!

M.D. RAJU - EHM
(40:02) Is Atem Mini Mic Input sound equals to the same as External Sound Card or from direct mixer to pc

Turning Point Communications
(41:12) Q. I thought I understood how the non-live live show was done, that was until you went live with the empty studio - that was too much to understand!! Sorry David)

Hardy Media
(41:27) Q: Any news or rumors on SRT for ATEM?

Koala20
(42:34) Q: Any recommendations for a 4-way hdmi split 43 TV or a reasonable way to input 4 hdmi signals to a tv?

culturevaani
(43:54) Yolobox still doesn’t support 1920x1080 with web overlays. And its painful 😣. Can you ask them to emable this.

kaffepojke
(44:38) Q: Just stumbled onto your live feed 5 minutes ago. Do you live stream on a regular schedule?

we stream algarve
(45:22) Q hi everyone, i found this Chanel recently, and like the content, im looking a solution to streaming a running Race, like a half Marathon ,in you opinion what Will be the best solution

Reedith Graham
(47:06) Thanks for asking. Yeah, I stream/record weddings, corporate events for the services, funerals, podcasts, anything and everything.

MotherBee
(47:24) Hi @AaronParecki.

Reedith Graham
(47:28) My goal was to build a bit of kit that makes it really easy for set up and take down then wanting to experiment with Sony FR7 PTZ cameras that would make my life way easier but they’re not cheap

Bill Mew
(47:42) Q: if you test Magewell next week I would love to see you stream SRT to a Streaming Bridge - warning you the Director Mini is great but the instructions are pants (+ no demo videos) BIG Magewell FAIL

Jules Apatini
(48:28) Q, Just an iPhone 15pro, what would be your most straightforward and best recommendation to shoot an interview between two people in an environment with lots of noise around?

Jules Apatini
(49:50) Q, Just an iPhone 15pro, what would be your most straightforward and best recommendation to shoot an interview between two people in an environment with lots of noise around?

M.D. RAJU - EHM
(56:38) can we use iphone camera as hdmi input for Atem Mini?

Hardy Media
(58:24) Q: Have you tried the Blackmagic Camera App on the iPad — on an Apple silicon iPad it's great!

Reedith Graham
(58:33) Can you use this app with a external webcam attached to the iPhone through usb c that would be neat

Clear Life Media
(59:09) Does airplay work on the network or bluethooth?

Jens Willmroth
(59:36) You can also use cheap Chinese AirPlay compatible HDMI dongles.

MotherBee
(59:56) Can you split the hdmi out of apple tv one to atem and one in another monitor?

Muhammad Adil Ismail
(1:00:48) Any HDMI splitter you would recommend?

Reedith Graham
(1:01:38) ori splitters are pretty good

MotherBee
(1:03:20) Hi @AaronParecki I will set up my studio again this Friday.

Dansplaining Video
(1:03:30) I almost bought a Streaming Bridge ... what killed it for me is that it can only receive a stream from ATEM devices.

Bill Mew
(1:04:31) Q: do you think Magewell are listening to requests for Companion support? can you ask them again when you arrange the forthcoming Magewell demo?

kaffepojke
(1:06:48) Swedish for Coffee Guy. Coffee Poik-a

Reedith Graham
(1:06:55) I use my atem as a switcher for my shop tv but I really wish it was 4k I go from security cams to chromcast for watching content to cameras for filming projects

Hardy Media
(1:07:12) Q: Have you — or would you — share how you've done audio routing with your Midas MR18?

HamoodN ahmed
(1:07:53) Q: I have ATEM 1 M/E 4K switcher and BMD Studio 4K Pro but am unable to use the coms on the cameras and the switcher, the switcher doesnt have a coms port. Is there a way to use the coms in my system?

Wilex Roger
(1:09:24) Q: What is the most effective way to bring a remotre guest to the atem exireme switcher?

CircuitBaker

Eric Likness
(1:11:48) Don't forget to mash that like button 👍

Wilex Roger
(1:11:54) Q: will the black magic app also available for android phone users?

Alex Hardy
(1:12:42) Q it be cool if you can use the Atem to control the camera app BlackMagic

James Clarke
(1:12:56) How does one get to the members stream?

WutrUduin?
(1:13:58) @Wilex Roger "most effective" is pretty subjective. First question is, how are communicating with the remote guest? Zoom, flypack, etc. Your source will determine the rest of the chain.

Stop & Think
(1:14:51) Q: Since you have a worldwide audience, should you not publish the start time of your weekly live scream using GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)?

WutrUduin?
(1:15:19) @Aaron Parecki we had a whole long conversation about it. You may have more answers if you wanna search for it.

Reedith Graham
(1:15:45) Q we talk a lot about video and coding but not much about audio encoding. How much do you change your audio encoding settings and can you in an atem ? I usually use aac320

Hardy Media
(1:16:19) Q: Actually, would love to see a whole review and demonstration of your use of the Midas MR18 🙂

Nick Houlton
(1:17:55) Q: I've recently upgraded from mini extreme to the Constellation HD... any tips on how to train my brain to use more than just me/1 in real life? 🙂

Nick Houlton
(1:19:50) @Aaron Parecki 4 m/e

Koala20
(1:20:23) Q: Other than aputure and neewer, what other lights work with stream deck?

Reedith Graham
(1:22:14) Q why do you think they don’t put ISO on the 4K atem ?

Ott Rahuvarm
(1:23:12) Q: Do you have any experience with live camera shot scripting programs (i.e. CuePilot, LiveEdit). Maybe a similar result can be achieved with companion?

Adam West
(1:24:01) I like the darker lighting without that table hair light, makes the background look very cool

WutrUduin?
(1:24:08) @Aaron Parecki The left light at the other table is off now.

MT Steuerung
(1:24:24) Q - and some HDMI Splitter also ave a Audio extractor build in

Josh Shanley
(1:24:33) Q: I want to both record and use the the usbc-out to connect to a computer for Zoom calls. I already have an ATEM mini pro.

Bicky Bickford
(1:25:23) Q: Does the BM app work well with NDI app?

Bill Mew
(1:25:30) Q: I'd like to see SRT out from the BlackMagic Design iPhone camera App. Anyone else agree???!!!!! Endless use cases

Reedith Graham
(1:25:40) Q do you love SDI ? I personally feel like HDMI needs to be phased out. It’s not a professional connection but I feel like I’m alone in that want more cameras and products to support SDI

Horology Biology Watches
(1:26:32) I literally just purchased a Mini Pro. Hoping the multiview options are great for recording what I do with 4 cams

Raul Espinosa
(1:27:07) HDMI is good for small productions I guess...

TVJAY
(1:27:18) Everything is SDI once we get above a certain level for the reasons just listed

Robert Harvey
(1:27:47) Q Obsbot demo coming soon?

WutrUduin?
(1:31:31) It seems like HDMI came in for the pro-sumer market and they just went hog wild and trying to make it fir when they started selling so much after covid.

Clear Life Media
(1:31:47) I moved to fiber cause sdi is also limiting. But fiber cables are really fragile do still looking for cables that don't break easily

TVJAY
(1:31:55) SDI cables are probably the reason why small productions don't use them. You can buy HDMI cables everywhere. You will never find SDI cables at a store because most people make their own.

Jens Willmroth
(1:32:06) The only thing HDMI has that SDI hasn't is the control channel (CEC) hat BMD uses for camera control. With SDI you need to connect two cables instead of one.and depending on your switcher a DA.

Gwen Park
(1:32:17) SDI devices are also more $$$$, which isn't friendly to small productions

CircuitBaker
(1:32:44) Q: have you tried adding the PTZ stop command to the release of each direction button?

Reedith Graham
(1:32:50) How was the video feed from the camera going to the ATM?

Eric Likness
(1:33:09) I have to say the Zoom level on the OBSbot is pretty good. Maybe not as much as a Canon/Panasonic, but darned good.

WutrUduin?
(1:33:33) @Aaron Parecki I'm on the other side of the country. I wish I could come over, look over your mixer ,and help you explain it to everyone.

TVJAY
(1:33:48) Q: Any update on the Chrome Chat Plugin issue?

Eric Likness
(1:35:18) OMG! YOu replicated it!

TVJAY
(1:35:20) @Aaron Parecki Glad it isn't just me!! LOL

CircuitBaker
(1:35:49) Q: have you tested the new SRT feature of the birddog mini?

Muhammad Adil Ismail
(1:36:01) Can you brief more about RTMP access control via Raspberry Pi?

George
(1:38:44) Q: are you using now the lav mic or the overhead one ? Just curious
