(1:04:38) The problem is that the rodedcaster pro or rodecaster pro 2 will output line level, but the input to the Atem Mini is mic level, so you either have to pad it down or send really low levels.

(1:09:23) @Michael Flotron completely agree — Software is so flexible, but when doing something I'm getting paid to produce, I prefer hardware. I've had fewer reliability issues with hardware.

(1:09:35) Software is great for smaller gigs with no IMAG; much friendlier to my back than bringing all the heavy hardware

(1:09:57) But hardware is not 100% reliable either, to be fair.

(1:17:06) If you are in Portland I recommend PCH cables in Hillsboro, the owner is a sorta soup-nazi…but the dude has every cable.

(1:17:14) With the Zoom recorders, you need to make sure that the 1/8" TRS jack provides a low-voltage power source, if you are plugging an inexpensive lav mic into it.

(1:17:30) @Raph Kelly as a church consultant normally the ATEM is what we use. I doing a youth group right now with a YoloBox

(1:17:44) I was able to grab 3 used Sony RX0ii for my set it and forget it setup. No auto focus but no overheating either.

(1:23:18) I love camcorders for live events where I'm operating manually. Quicker to set up, less stuff to bring and easier to operate. Some compromises are image, smaller sensor, variable aperture.

(1:30:56) @Yorkwin Walters Sounds like a phase issue with one or many channels. Do a virtual sound checkand try to pick out which instruments or elements sound the weirdest. I'd check crowd mics first.

(1:45:40) A: Bad things happen if you setup a mic this way is if you have lots of background noise. My mic is in the scene because it is setup to cut out background noise until I talk into it. (Kids, A/C, etc)

(1:48:27) The 'best shotgun' for out of frame is probably the Sennheiser MKH 50 but it not cheap but nothing I seen beat it
