(13:03) thanks for your help a couple weeks ago fixing companion and obs. we're back running on all cylinders with all our cameras and scenrs

(13:11) the trick was to upgrade to companion 3.0.0 and obs 29.1.4

(13:27) there is a way to see plugin compatibility in v3 but only after you have installed it built in to the program as far as I can see

(14:01) Q: I've been encountering BSOD on Windows 11 when streaming using ATEM Mini Pro

(15:05) Q: I DMed on twitter about possibly turning a small keypad into a remote for the ATEM so it can stay in my IRL backpack setup

(17:00) My ATEM is going into a belabox setup, plenty of power supplies, no worries about wires, just a hassle to access the atem buttons, so itd be nice to run buttons from something with a long cord heh

(18:45) You'll also need a small router or switch to network the Pi and the ATEM

(19:24) Q: does companion completely take over the streamdeck, or is it an app that you can make active when open?

(20:59) Pi has to be 4? I think. Companion probably works with just a little 4 key macropad I'm guessing? Either way, thank you for the help! A good head start!

(22:57) Yeah, 6 button one is nice but doesnt lay flat unfortunately, makes it weird to say, attach to the backpack straps

(23:33) Running on a computer, if you don't run the Stream Deck software, Companion takes control of the deck. Or you can run a profile inside Stream Deck software that has all or some companion buttons.

(24:01) Q: What would you suggest to use if you want to use Companion far away from the a computer?

(27:18) Whenever I can find a Pi4, I want to try a companion satellite in a wireless battery operated box.

(27:29) If you carry a travel router in your backpack, could you not run Mixeffect on an iPhone?

(28:47) Companion also allows you to run an emulator on the web. Works nicely with a tablet on the LAN.

(30:32) the emulator is the only one that allows you to go to a different page

(41:35) You can reconfigure the MultiView to only show 4 panels

(44:04) clicking the button to go to a page does not work you have to use the page up and down or scroll

(44:59) Companion can also take in control from OSC devices.

(46:28) Probably still a year away before we start the build. The cities EDC is knocking down the building currently in it's spot for us to build on. So it will be completely new! So excited!!

(46:42) Q - Have you tried Rode Streamer X yet? What is your opinion about this new type of device?

(47:55) A while ago, I tried getting OSC commands to come out of Ableton Live. Kinda gave up as there's no easy solution. It can go OSC, but gotta learn some stuff.
