Jon Schwark
(4:48) Blocked by @Gwen Park again, LOL
Michael Flotron
(4:53) Hello from Portland, OR!
Gwen Park
(7:41) Try it out and see how you like it
Jon Schwark
(7:48) but doing it unmoderated will invite pranksters
MC Online Events
(8:01) Just as you said “sorry if I have to disagree”, my YouTube cut to ads!
aKIELpulco
(8:28) I'd be interested to know what you need for a smooth IRL stream that doesn't lose connection so quickly.
Michael Flotron
(14:05) I'm really missing out by not having a bike in Portland lol
Aidan Comi
(14:10) Q: Are you still using Mint for cellular?
MattWRuff
(15:03) I use the Neo all the time, I use it more than my mini...
Michael Flotron
(15:40) Throw my Mine Media bonder in that mix pls haha jk
SaltWaterSalmon
(16:01) Yep, shippable ads are running over your livestream.
Aidan Comi
(16:22) Sounds like a members only stream fixing the drone is in the future
MattWRuff
(20:48) Amazon call any price decrease as a sale...LOL
Gwen Park
(21:23) It could be an interesting to do a long stream to test if stream length affects any of the encoders' performance
MattWRuff
(21:38) Q: Getting ready for my 13 week around the world trip I used Holafly ESIM's on my recent trip to Iceland/London anyone have another ESIM company they recommend ?
Keith Bennett
(22:26) You have fully become a Rode fan!
AlonzoJT
(22:49) RCV: it’s not permanent so it’s time to buy. Speaking of RCV: do you think they’ll bring the new CallME feature(active on RCP Ii and DUO)on the RCV?
MattWRuff
(28:40) Now if someone would do that for video that would be great...
Omur Ozcan
(28:45) Video call feature on RCV can be good
Aidan Comi
(29:38) Would be cool if you could do it locally without the limitations, but I'm guessing there is also a licensing cost they're eating the cost
Aidan Comi
(32:01) I'm guessing RODE's answer is going to be connect a Duo/Pro II over USB to the RODECaster Video to use CallMe on the RCV
MattWRuff
(32:14) When I produced a Podcast we just through calls in via a cell phone to the RCP2 and It worked fine...
Emmanuel Francis
(32:40) Q: DO ytou think Rode would come out with a new Mixer with more inputs and Aux outs maybe this year or next?
Sven Lakemeier
(33:58) Q: What is your prediction on new trends and developments in the creator market? I feel that the Atem Mini kicked off a lot of similar and then slowly evolving budget video switchers...
Sven Lakemeier
(34:08) Q: ...similar with Rode Go for wireless mics. Both areas seem a little stale at the moment, where do you think the next huge step will come?
Nils Braune
(41:38) Those were film people. In many cases they can't do 'live'!
Michael Flotron
(42:21) As a traditional film person who converted to live, @Nils Braune is 100% correct lol
Nils Braune
(42:26) And they brought more like 500.000 Dollar worth of camera gear. Or more.
Sven Lakemeier
(42:46) I feel there are better tools for remote guests already, it just seems crews don't care to prepare properly
MattWRuff
(43:01) I used Riverside and it works really good. Zoom is to LOW quality compared to Riverside
Aprann Pale Anglais | APA
(43:23) Would you mind telling me the name of the mic in which you are currently using ?
Michael Flotron
(43:55) My big urk with Riverside is it doesn't cap the upload speed so the live experience is still kinda crummy on non-symmetric connections
Sven Lakemeier
(44:07) People can't be bothered to preplan sending proper equipment to the remote site and plan local recording, I don't think a RCV remote guest option would see these people buy that hardware
Gwen Park
(44:30) For that kind of setup, I feel like you need the remote camera to locally record to match set camera(s) so probably some sort of camera to cloud integration that also has video call functionality?
Joshua Cumbers
(44:56) Q: What's the best way for wireless phone cameras on an Atem Mini Extreme?
Caseload Moses
(45:36) Q: Missed my question up top about the Sony PDT FP1. Does anyone in the chat have experience with it on livestreaming?
Technicom360 Studios
(47:26) Q: I have 3 cameras and 2 mics connected to 2 of them. Using MixEffect with VFA automation, I can switch between the 2 with audio. How can I switch to the 3rd camera, which has no audio source?
Michael Flotron
(51:14) It's FTP upload feature is interesting. But that's crazy cheap for a bonding encoder if it's actually good haha
Nils Braune
(51:23) @Michael Flotron I think the Sony transmitter doesn't do bonding, only switching to another SIM.
K9Stryker
(51:29) Q I bought four of the AVKANS LV20N cameras ( the ones you recommended last week), is there any way natively or with companion, stream deck, etc., I can get the tally lights to work with the ATEM?
K9Stryker
(54:27) admin/admin123 is the default username password
Gwen Park
(55:00) trying to figure out the difference between two similar looking but differently priced products by same company is such a pain
K9Stryker
(55:07) They use visca protocol over tcp or udp, but couldn't figure out the proper command for tally control. It does have Auto Tally in the WebUI config.
Omur Ozcan
(57:57) Q: I will stream video and audio between two locations (one way). Can I do this with Zowietek's Zowiebox devices (encode/decode)?
Aidan Comi
(58:22) There was Tally (On/Off), you passed it @Aaron Parecki
GAiPS
(59:49) Any thoughts on the new Atomos Ninja TX Monitor/Recorder to cloud unit?
Technicom360 Studios
(1:01:05) Wish they would add audio and video talkback to the Zowietek's Zowiebox devices.
Omur Ozcan
(1:01:29) You're one of the few people who can pronounce my name correctly 😊Thanks for the info. I was hesitant about Zowietek.
K9Stryker
(1:02:58) Q Do you still offer 20 minute consulting sessions? The calendarly link on your website doesn't work.
Technicom360 Studios
(1:03:17) Q: Looking for an inexpensive srt device to bring in remote guest. Any suggestion? Audio and video talkback would be good to have.
Gwen Park
(1:05:09) some of ninja tx updates: built in sdi (vs.needing separate module), included license for NDI, timecode over bluetooth (I think this is new to ninja line)
Grzegorz Ignatowicz
(1:05:24) vMix also has vMix call
Michael Flotron
(1:05:28) Ecamm does Zoom integration now too. Haven't tried it personally but it's on my radar to tryu
Gwen Park
(1:06:28) ecamm has both built in guest and zoom integration
Michael Flotron
(1:07:16) We have the guys at Liminal to thank for that haha. That was their first task after being acquired by Zoom
Technicom360 Studios
(1:07:24) Wish list ......Zoom and Zowietek's Zowiebox integration
Michael Flotron
(1:11:48) Didnt you do that on plane wifi too? haha
K9Stryker
(1:12:17) Q Did you tune your AVKANS "Video Config" settings, or are they default? (exposure, hue, brightness, etc.) Can we peek at your settings if you tuned them? While there check out Camera Protocol Config.
Eric Likness
(1:14:36) Nobody seemed to know "why" they were there on the vertical stream.
Aidan Comi
(1:14:42) Q: Has anyone tried the Zoom Rooms Custom AV Controller app (CAVZRC)? I would send a link to the support page about it but it will get my message hidden
Aidan Comi
(1:15:00) Q: Has anyone tried the Zoom Rooms Custom AV Controller app (CAVZRC)? I would send a link to the support page about it but it will get my message hidden
Prosthetic Makeup Effects by David Malinowski
(1:15:27) Hi, maybe I've missed this already but is there a new firmware update for RCV coming soon with new features? TIA!
Gwen Park
(1:18:39) maybe you can set manual exposure with different settings for different positions using companion?
K9Stryker
(1:18:44) I bet you could with Companion 🙂
Aidan Comi
(1:21:41) Q: Can it only return to a set input or can it return to the previous input?
K9Stryker
(1:22:31) Please tell what keyboard and mousepad that is. 😅
Peninsula Churches
(1:27:14) I use a trigger in companion to start countdown timer…
Dansplaining Video
(1:27:23) I made a countdown timer for OBS that counts down TO a specific time instead of counting down for a set duration
Michael Flotron
(1:28:01) I recently got a mechanical keyboard I really like but it's a bummer with no Touch ID button. About to rip it out and 3d print an enclosure for just that one button haha
Aidan Comi
(1:28:07) @Michael Flotron I've seen a couple videos of people doing that or just double sided taping the Apple keyboard to the bottom of their desks 😂
Michael Flotron
(1:28:26) Maybe have an "arm" type button to stop in case she's not ready haha. I've done similar logic for graphic overlays before
Preston II
(1:36:07) Q: Hi Aaron, what are your thoughts on Meld Studio?
Christiaan Schaftenaar
(1:36:40) hello from the Netherlands 👋😊
Technicom360 Studios
(1:36:45) Shows us the beta.. we wont tell anybody
Michael Flotron
(1:36:48) They recently had a huge spend on ads and sponsorships haha that's why everyone is hearing about it now
Omur Ozcan
(1:37:26) Yes, I asked last week.. Vertical and horizontal stream at the same time. This is good
Aidan Comi
(1:40:02) Q: Do you think you'll use GoPro/AVKANS Go for the bike cameras?
Aidan Comi
(1:40:47) Would be cool to do unlisted livestreams of each encoder if someone wants to check the performance of each individually
CSD Global
(1:42:28) Q: I get the feeling you dont feel Gopros are not a great idea for a general use sports cam, is there a reason and recommendation for an alternative
Nils Braune
(1:45:29) @Aaron Parecki Photojoseph should hook you up with one of the Tilta shock mounts for the bike.
Michael Flotron
