Grish
(10:25) A free service does not really exist because it costs to operate

InPlaneSight
(10:41) what about a virtual pc plan that comes with say 2tb a month of data? would that work for bonding?

Grish
(14:53) Proxmox is awesome

Dylan R Gaming
(14:56) i use proxmox and it crazy powerful

FAssan1337
(14:58) what did you move from to proxmox?

Maxim Veksler
(16:04) Hi on your RODECaster NDI video you're mentioned using a Blackmagic Dongle to export NDI HX.

Maxim Veksler
(16:08) Can you please specify the model and the setup to make it work

Maxim Veksler
(23:53) You're online, all good. Thank you for the answer. So my question is how to stream NDI HX from a windows PC using OBS or vMix. Any tips would be highly appreciated

Grish
(26:06) We use obs in church to play video using obs decklink out. Person needs to just put a file into a folder on the computer and make that scene live. No need to deal wit hyperdeck formats, etc

WutrUduin?
(26:18) Q I know you don't use a PC, but any idea how much CPU or GPU power that Ultrastudio uses?

Perú en Video
(26:59) Hi, the Osee Gostream Duet 8 Iso can be used for CCTV or hace a litle latency ?

Omur Ozcan
(27:30) I used NDI Virtual Input app on my laptop and OBS can see this virtual input as camera.

Maxim Veksler
(27:38) Appreciate the anwer @Aaron Parecki thank you.

Gwen Park
(27:41) Work calling so gotta jet. Have a great rest of the show!

IT Never Gets Old
(27:51) Q: Are you concerned about writing wear on consumer nvme SSDs? Enterprise/NAS SSDs might do better in terms of long-term reliability with VMs

Dylan R Gaming
(31:36) Q: compresser is crushing the songs

IT Never Gets Old
(32:03) Q: Are you able to monetize your albums?

Grish
(32:26) Turn it down just a tad bit

Clifford Bradbury
(32:35) Q: I guess a machine running Proxmox Backup Server PBS will be on the agenda too?

Brian McDonough
(32:47) Q: In the DM, are GFX Videos capable of playing audio? I can get the video to play, but no audio, and nothing in the audio mixer either.

WutrUduin?
(33:39) We hear both. When you talk it got slightly louder. Gate, not compressor.

Brian McDonough
(35:20) Q: In the DM, are GFX Videos capable of playing audio? I can get the video to play, but no audio, and nothing in the audio mixer either.

WutrUduin?
(38:03) Q idea: When working on the lab machines, put PTZ in PiP over your shoulder or replace the map.

Aprann Pale Anglais | APA
(38:30) Do you use HDMI Splitter to connect to the all the Video switchers once you power them on?

Michael Fair
(40:44) Q: we lost our ndi source during our stream today in obs. it wasn't even showing up in the list. is there any way to get it back without restarting obs?

David Martin Graff
(41:22) Q: is a Nvidia 2080 still acceptable GPU for DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, Topaz A.I.? Clock speeds on the 50 series still are under 3.0GHz..

MattWRuff
(42:01) Q: so if you need a remote guest in a ATEM setup and you want something Higher Quality than Zoom any other option? Off line is easy with Riverside but live

TVJAY
(43:22) NDI issues? never! LOL

Grzegorz Ignatowicz
(46:13) @MattWRuff heard someone contemplating shipping a preconfigured SRT encoder to a remote guest

Grzegorz Ignatowicz
(47:13) @David Martin Graff comparing clock speeds between generations isn't very relevant for performance

MattWRuff
(47:22) Hmm @Grzegorz Ignatowicz I do hav couple of Pearl Nano laying around @Aaron Parecki

MattWRuff
(50:05) The list of video you haven't done is quite long... sad you have a real job...LOL @Aaron Parecki but based on the P&L of the business probably a good thing

Roland L. L. Booth
(50:47) Q: Is the ZowieBox able to to decode a NDI feed from ZoomISO?

MattWRuff
(56:17) We used apple FaceTime and cropped out the controls and I thing the Quality was better than Zoom. As good as iPhone has gotten developing an App to offer a clean feed would be a interesting option...

Roland L. L. Booth
(57:00) Q: Is the ZowieBox able to to decode a NDI feed from ZoomISO?

IT Never Gets Old
(57:26) The sad joke is that NDI was supposed to eliminate all of the "format concerns"

Roland L. L. Booth
(57:31) Q: Thanks for the clarity. Which Decoders and/Or switchers have worked with ZoomISO NDI?

Adam West
(1:02:47) One day OMT will replace NDI everywhere and we won't have these problems!

WutrUduin?
(1:03:01) q But now we have to specify when we ask does it work: Full, HX or the other.

Rene Brunken
(1:03:27) Q: gostream also only ndi hx

IT Never Gets Old
(1:04:19) Bad Network Day = Bad NDI Day

Andre Yanco
(1:05:14) Q:how about the director mini?

MattWRuff
(1:08:24) Summary of todays stream: NDI is a mess and hardwired is always better than wireless!

WutrUduin?
(1:08:33) q With all the video splitters for the lab, do you also have a small switch for ethernet over there, or are you running cables from the closet?

Razorbaby Media Creation
(1:09:03) Q: Aaron, since you have the DM up and running, could you check the software version on it?

MattWRuff
(1:09:26) WiFi/wireless are nice but Wires are just so much more reliable!

Razorbaby Media Creation
(1:09:32) OMT=Open Media Transport

Adam West
(1:09:39) @IT Never Gets Old OMT is a new Open Source alternative to NDI

IT Never Gets Old
(1:09:56) Yeah I still default to video connections for video (i.e. SDI and HDMI) and Network connections for control only... NDI for me is a last resort even tho I am an IT guy

Roland L. L. Booth
(1:10:11) Q: follow up @Adam West am West Have you played around with OMT?

MattWRuff
(1:10:25) So a Pastor friend called me in to give advise on the cost of updating is bad Livestream to a good Livestream. If you OSEE instead of ATEM Extreme G2 it really saves some money!

MattWRuff
(1:11:31) For my Ultra setup I do use two NDI feeds the OBSBOT Tail Air that I use for the studio shot. and the Shoot App NDI and they have always worked

Razorbaby Media Creation
(1:12:33) Issues always start with "Look what I cvan do with this camera NDI feed"

Andre Yanco
(1:17:03) Q:Don't forget to bolt it so that it does not fall over you :)

MattWRuff
(1:17:23) I went with the medal selves from Sam because they were extreme stable and they had wheels

Michael Fair
(1:17:31) then there was the windows update that borked ndi the fix is to set recieve to single TCP in access manager

IT Never Gets Old
(1:18:03) And remember it is not just HX, but HX, HX2, and HX3

Razorbaby Media Creation
(1:18:10) No not crazy! That's totally normal

Andre Yanco
(1:18:38) Q:Flood protection ?

Adam West
(1:22:11) Q: Have you tried the SRT output out of Zoom ISO? Would that work with your devices?

Robert Sababady
(1:28:51) Zoom ISO SRT - where do you anticipate wanting to use SRT?

Roland L. L. Booth
(1:29:05) Q: Can you try the zowiebox after?

Andre Yanco
(1:31:11) Q:Actually it makes sense. Zoom ISO separates the feeds and pushes somewhere.

SupraSimple
(1:31:26) Q: is it possible to delay audio on the director mini?

IT Never Gets Old
(1:32:42) Is that OREI box network controllable? Is there companion support?

Brian McDonough
(1:35:56) Settings> Audio

Peter
(1:37:01) Hey Aaron, I’ve been a corporate streamer for almost ten years, and recently picked up a YouTube streamer career on the side. Your channel has always been a great source. Thanks for all the effort!

Marcin Nowak
(1:37:16) Q: How do you heat your studio and home?

UpperStage
(1:38:25) Q: I don’t have control over the sound system feeding my livestream and in can be too quiet or too loud at times. Is there a hardware device that fix this. I currently am receiving audio via RCA.

Andrew Carluccio
(1:40:40) Encoding NDI-HX requires an Advanced license. HX supports common codecs like h264, whereas Full NDI uses SpeedHQ. Hardware devices tend to only support HX because they have dedicated h264 decoders.

Andrew Carluccio
(1:41:04) SRT compatibility can be a challenge because SRT only defines the transport stream, not the codec inside. So the encoding settings that work for one vendor may not match what another one uses.

Andrew Carluccio
(1:41:14) OMT currently only supports the VMX codec, so hardware devices will be in the same situation that NDI has with Speed HQ (no dedicated hardware decoders)
