(12:00) woah thatā€™s my first time seeing that. Crazy huge!

Burak Yalcin

MattWRuff
(15:47) the confetti is greyed out @Aaron Parecki

Clear Life Media
(16:18) I do have to thank you for the ptz camera suggestion. We used it for a fight broadcast. Put it up in the lights facing down on the ring. Controlled with our bmd panel. It was an great addition

MattWRuff
(16:39) Yeah it works!

Damon Irving
(18:24) Yes!!! FINALLY, I caught your live WHILE it is live! Lol

Andre Yanco
(18:29) Q:You need to make a pink jacket button. I vote that you put a picture of the person wearing it when they push the button šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

BowlsPromoTV
(18:39) You can put new beta on DM

Rony Canales
(18:57) Have you tried the ULANZI DD02 Video Switcher?

Bailey Stone
(19:47) Q: i need someone to try and talk me out of getting a new M4 Mac Mini

MattWRuff
(20:36) It has a really LOUD fan from what Tom said

Andrew Francis
(20:41) @Bailey Stone Wrong channel we are your expensive friends.

Damon Irving
(20:50) Q: Used the Yolobox Ultra for the first time during a huge work event and it crashed about 2x, once during a the soundcheck run and once during the event, do you know if this is common?

MattWRuff
(22:16) Sorry @Bailey Stone I LOVE my new M4 Pro Mac mini, I did order a dock it in the Discord

Bailey Stone
(22:29) Here's Tom's Video: https://youtu.be/NMuGB70PI2Q?si=6SMh66Evvu3Mc8U6

Grish
(22:41) Yolobox, unfortunately too many things that can go wrong :(

Grish
(24:48) ATEMs can crash too. Lots of people always say to reboot their blackmagic stuff before going live.

Grish
(26:25) When my constellation 2me crashed (control), it just froze on the input that was live. I power cycled it and it resumed very fast. The cool thing about hardware based switchers.

Grish
(27:34) When I just got my 2me, i found that companion was making it crash. Updated firmware and never saw that issue again.

Andre Yanco
(27:43) Q:This is why I look at my ATEM Extreme and praise it a lot, where it never failed even with a 3 hr customer demo.

MattWRuff
(27:57) @Damon Irving Mine has never crashed I have 2 NDI, 3 Camera and iPad and a Pocket 3 so it fully loaded and never crashed on the current software

Maximalion Tucker
(28:20) I have your zoom set up (streamer X/Director mini to use on YouTube live, I have an overhead camera and an Obsbot webcam , even using layers webcam will not broadcast

Peter Maziuk
(29:01) Q: I stream HS sports games. Which PTZ camera would work for outdoor sports and control it remotely? Preferably the less bulk the better.

MattWRuff
(29:25) I love my YoloBox Ultra but @Aaron Parecki nothing is as solid as a ATEM though my GOStream has never crashed

Damon Irving
(29:41) Thanks Aaron! Will do! It actually belonged to the AV company we contracted for the event so idk if they updated it or what but we def used it full force; All 4 inputs (3 cameras and a Presentation)

Wellington Flights Live
(30:12) Hi - apologies if this has already been covered.. will you be getting a Yolobox Extreme to review.. you reviews are great Aaron.. I have a ton of equipment that I won't need if I change over

IT Never Gets Old
(31:02) Q: Have you had any time to play with the SDI Zowiebox? Any Thoughts. I have had good luck with the HDMI version. It is a pretty good tool like the ProConvert.

Clear Life Media
(31:49) Most people donā€™t realize just how many backups in live streaming you really need. Becomes even more important in ppv events

MattWRuff
(32:25) @Aaron Parecki it rarely discussed but the epiphan video nano has never even had a minor problem. I used it 2 times a week for 2 years

IT Never Gets Old
(32:45) Q: What are they talking in terms of price for the Yolobox HUGE?

MattWRuff
(34:00) 1999

Damon Irving
(34:06) OMG! Thatā€™s what we need, the Yolobox Extreme! Canā€™t wait for it to drop.

BowlsPromoTV
(34:14) Iā€™m trying to recreate a high pitch buzz that sometimes happens with Rode Wireless Pro, Rode asked me to narrow it down. Seems to conflict with Interview Pro, Maybe, still looking.

TVJAY
(34:48) We are sending three copies to the transmitter site running two transmitters for redundancy

TVJAY
(34:55) At the TV station we are bringing in the FOX feed 4 different ways tonight

Bailey Stone
(35:12) Q: I'm thinking of going with the Mac Mini (24GB, 256GB HDD) plus the dock @MattWRuff got with a 2TB SSD - comes out to $1666 AUD (~$1000USD), as opposed to $1899 AUD for a 1TB HDD from Apple

MattWRuff
(37:17) 256GB SSD is to SMALL @Bailey Stone

Jon Schwark
(37:23) Just spend the dumb money on a bigger SSD

Great Things Studios - Video Production
(37:32) @Peter Maziuk check for Bolin EXU420F they have an outdoor one water resistant and a wiper.

Grish
(37:37) Q: Do we know if any of the yoloboxes have any additional hardware inside to aid with video processing (such as asics), or is it strictly cpu based?

IT Never Gets Old
(38:57) Q: 6 NDI? On the Yolobox HUGE... that will suck CPU for sure

Great Things Studios - Video Production
(39:10) Q: Does the Yolobox Extreme finally have stable framerate? or still skipping frames...?

Grish
(40:25) If Yolo introduces some hardware processing aspects to their switchers, it might be a good improvement. I saw in demos that if the CPU starts to max out, the encoding quality went down and skipped

MattWRuff
(40:52) I hear about skipping frames on the Ultra but Since it just me talking on mine I think that why mine never skips

David Martin Graff
(41:24) Yes looking forward to Yolobox Extreme. I have the META Ray-Ban and I was wondering is the only way to extend the glasses recording in the Facebook app is to use HDMI adapter to Yolobox of the iPhone?

Jon Schwark
(42:03) 1TB is the standard where its not a hassle

TVJAY
(42:12) 1) satellite from the main site 2) satellite from LA 3) backup satellite feed from truck onsite 4) IP feed incase satellite goes down

Sven Lakemeier
(42:21) tvjay: is something important going on today?

Mike Nun
(42:36) Larger internal ssdā€™s will be faster

Daniel Monteiro
(42:41) Q: what video mixer with iso recording would you recommend to record a conference? when some sources disconnect ( laptops for presentation). 4 video sources ( 2 cameras and 2 laptops)

Daniel Monteiro
(44:45) Q: what video mixer with iso recording would you recommend to record a conference? when some sources disconnect ( laptops for presentation). 4 video sources ( 2 cameras and 2 laptops)

Daniel Monteiro
(48:10) Q: what video mixer with iso recording would you recommend to record a conference? when some sources disconnect ( laptops for presentation). 4 video sources ( 2 cameras and 2 laptops)

Trevor Pletcher
(48:30) I ditto the Mac eject issue

MattWRuff
(48:31) @Aaron Parecki Yeah I agree the eject issue on Mac has become a PAIN!

Emerald Audiovisual
(48:50) I believe the Qualcomm CPU comes with hardware encoding capabilities

Teyrnon Powell
(49:15) I just downloaded a program for my birthday. Itā€™s called ACDSee photo 11 its great for data management

Jon Schwark
(53:39) Well, if ACDC is on version 11 and 20 years old, its probably pretty safe

Mike Nun
(53:52) Quick Look in Finder can trip up eject.

Jon Schwark
(53:59) I think this isnt a perfect test because the file formal doesn't change frame rate or color space.

iDJMic
(54:24) Try organizing photos with a family of 8, and different device. Between screenshots and actual photos itā€™s a mess.

Mike Nun
(54:36) Our designers use Capture One. I am not a fan

UpperStage
(54:43) Q: Thanks for all your help over the years! Our church livestream has been averaging 10 livestreams a week since 3/2020. How much lifecycle time do I have left on my ATEM TV Studio?

Andre Yanco
(55:20) Q: You would not appreciate a Mac mini until you do a desk stream setup with an ATEM and try a windows mini pc to see how much fan noise you will get. With Apple Silicon, it will be dead silent.

MattWRuff
(55:33) @Aaron Parecki but the new ARM chips like Qualacom and Apple Silicon are putting GPU on the Chipset

Mike Nun
(58:42) Would love to see a deep dive on this.

MattWRuff
(58:58) I see what you're saying. It back to the Hardware vs Computer (as yolobox is a Android computer)

Grish
(59:49) Windows solved the eject issue with external media a long time ago. It never buffers rights, so if you copy, it actually writes to the media. Mac caches it first.

David Martin Graff
(1:00:12) The main To-Do of Yolobox is to add another icon on the menu icon prommpts or increase another icon with its lower 4/3 icons whereby there's a respectible number of video graphic files.

David Martin Graff
(1:00:28) Yolobox is keeping ATEM Minis in the game until they do this

Dansplaining Video
(1:00:47) Jeff Geerling recently did a video where he added installed a higher capacity SSD in an M4 Mac Mini ā€” much cheaper than Appleā€™s options.

Great Things Studios - Video Production
(1:01:03) Q: does the BMD Ultrastudio 4k Mini can do 2 inputs simultaneously? or it's just a glorified single channel thunderbolt box.

Bailey Stone
(1:02:20) Q: I think I'll have to head off and get a few more hours of sleep before work today! Catch everyone next week. Make sure to check out the Member's Only discord - some great conversations happen

Jon Schwark
(1:02:31) Use an osee as a submixer for laptops that disconnect ;)

Great Things Studios - Video Production
(1:03:36) that's the only drawbacks on the Yolobox... I wish they went with an FPGA. it's a great machine

David Martin Graff
(1:03:52) the glasses have a button that you can press and it will go to the phone and pressing it again will bring it back to the glasses

IT Never Gets Old
(1:04:25) Q: Actually on he M4 Mini Pro (not the non-pro) the Thunderbolt 5 is slightly faster than the internal drive IF you have a Thunderbolt 5 enclosure

Grish
(1:04:35) Q: On the rodecaster video + rodecaster pro via usb, does audio follow video work? Do the audio channels come in via on separate channels and can be mapped to inputs?

David Martin Graff
(1:05:10) it's nice to have the prespective of the glasses as you see with them on, the latency isn't perfect & it loses connection in what I call "dead zones" like the 1st Motorola phones would breakup moving

David Martin Graff
(1:05:27) WIth no disrespect but Apple Macbooks, etc as of today do not have their own A.I. built with their computers, Siri's iPhone not MacOS, and the longer Apple continues the even more undesirable they are

IT Never Gets Old
(1:11:45) Cats eating

Eric Likness
(1:11:49) Machine Learning and "fuzzy logic" have been around for ages it's true. That's how a lot of variable speed motors work for HVAC.

Grish
(1:12:00) Literally, itā€™s machine learning. Thatā€™s been out there forever. Itā€™s just that openai made it popular with it being a chat

Sven Lakemeier
(1:12:21) I will say it again and again. AI is a marketing term that's stuck on everything at the moment. First question should always be "what is meant by that in this context"?

Michael Flotron
(1:12:30) I don't even know what the "suspicious" notification tag on UniFi Protect is supposed to mean

Grish
(1:12:38) There is a video called ā€œchatgpt is made from 100 million of theseā€. Itā€™s describes how the idea is very old and that even in the 1960s, public demos were made where it predicted outputs from inputs.

Grish
(1:12:46) But they didnā€™t have the technology to make it practice like what we did today with gptā€™s

Grish
(1:13:55) Machine learning earliest form was the perception in the 1958 white paper. Itā€™s just now we can parallelize it and make it practical.

Dansplaining Video
(1:14:13) no soldering

IT Never Gets Old
(1:14:19) The M4 Minis use removeable modules like the Mac Studio

MattWRuff
(1:14:23) 25 steps to get the the SSD on the Mac. NO thanks. It also voided the warranty

Grzegorz Ignatowicz
(1:14:29) Ultrastudio 4K Mini has one SDI and one HDMI input, so my guess would be only one input at a time

WutrUduin?
(1:14:39) My Windows computer has not solved the eject issue. Anything considered a HD I have to close all explorer windows and even then sometimes I just have to yank the drive. Haven't corrupted anything yet.

Damon Irving
(1:14:54) Q: What is your ideal mobile livestream setup? ā€¦Quick setup & breakdown with 4k streaming ability?

Emerald Audiovisual
(1:15:54) Q: the newest RĆødecaster II Pro beta update now allows the use the RĆøde Wireless Pro RX as receiver connected via USB, so you don't occupy XLR channels.

MattWRuff
(1:16:20) I think they should had done the RCV as a Video Switcher and then with a single USB-C brings the Audi from a Duo or RCP2. Then I would have got one!

MattWRuff
(1:17:04) We have a Flock Security Camera at intro of our Condo and it captures License plates and it search is HUGELY accurate but it's an expensive system but since 156 condo it a great system

Jon Schwark
(1:17:34) Is an RV or Trailer "mobile"? Or is the criteria "Aaron can take it on his bike".

Damon Irving
(1:17:40) Go somewhere setup and tear down. I work for a school district and we have to livestream from many different locations within the district so the setup needs to be portable

Grish
(1:17:50) Isnā€™t 4k, 4x the bandwidth of 1080p? Complicates everything

Damon Irving
(1:18:16) Go somewhere setup and tear down. I work for a school district and we have to livestream from many different locations within the district so the setup needs to be portable

Damon Irving
(1:20:19) Itā€™s a strong preference but not required. Maybe Iā€™m not a fan of a 1080 stream because weā€™ve been using Streamyard and their 1080 quality hasnā€™t been the best for us.

Michael Flotron
(1:23:19) A lot of people have been unhappy with Streamyard since their acquisition too. Smh.

TVJAY
(1:27:48) Get yellow jackets...say no to tape whenever possible!

Damon Irving
(1:27:53) Yes, normally the main cam will be in front of the desk and if we need a second angle, we just use a Canon R5 with a wireless video transmitter. I guess Iā€™m looking for what type of streaming device

Damon Irving
(1:28:16) ā€¦would be best with the least amount of equipment to carry around.

Damon Irving
(1:29:17) For our Board meetings, Yes we do need to connect a projector.

TVJAY
(1:29:58) yellow jackets are the portable wire protectors with pre cut channels for cables

TVJAY
(1:31:30) for reference, the "big game" setup takes about a week

Kerrin Addis (Kerrin)
(1:31:38) Q i bought some short 30cm HDMI flat cables from amazon. They work fine except for Apple Tv and iPhone apple dongle. Are Apple devices fussy?

IT Never Gets Old
(1:32:22) HDMI are fussy... period

MattWRuff
(1:32:27) @Aaron Parecki I always run my camera off batteries (usually V mount)

Michael Flotron
(1:32:53) I'd rather run vMix in the cloud if I really needed something cloud haha

Kerrin Addis (Kerrin)
(1:33:02) Q Followup I am plugging into Osee Duet but apple devices work fine with other hdmi cables

Pozytyvka Live!
(1:33:37) q how to prevert interference of wireless transmitters ?

WutrUduin?
(1:34:11) Q Are those flat cables omitting some wires they don't think are necessary?

Pozytyvka Live!
(1:34:20) hollyland

IT Never Gets Old
(1:34:47) Avoid 2.4 GHZ if possible

Pozytyvka Live!
(1:35:10) i had two of them yesterday in big hall ca. 50m from recieviers

TVJAY
(1:35:52) Cable quality matters a lot. Don't go with crappy cables... especially on long runs.

Pozytyvka Live!
(1:35:59) there was like 1000 peps ;:)

Jon Schwark
(1:36:59) Yes computers / ipads etc can be funky over hdmi. The 100% solution to this is use a decimator.

Michael Flotron
(1:37:37) Q Any speaking tips when the content is technical in nature? I was invited to speak at a developer conference with an in-person audience of 500+ and a little nervous haha

Emerald Audiovisual
(1:39:13) with big crowds , i avoid wireless transmitters like hell. or use NDI over a 60GHz PtP link.

TVJAY
(1:39:21) RF issues can happen outside as well. I have had issues with wireless at a football game and we had line of sight. systems with antenna diversity is best if you can get it

IT Never Gets Old
(1:39:34) If the presenter is showing a text editor make sure they can blow up the text

Jon Schwark
(1:40:43) HDMI in and out over osee can sometimes be fixed with the internal osee manual settings for frame rate and color space. Also a little hdmi negotiation dongle (EDID) can solve a lot of issues

BowlsPromoTV
(1:40:54) Q: iPad screen share with DM work ok? Can you draw / telestrate on the iPad?

Andre Yanco
(1:42:09) Q:95 minutes check

MattWRuff
(1:44:30) Curtis Judd is demo of the new Battery Powered Mackie Board
